Portrait of one of the greatest social reformers of our time - Ambedka. This movie documents the period between 1901 and 1956. This movie delves into the life of Ambedkar as a reformer, while some of his personal life is omitted. Ambedkar was the first graduate of his untouchable community and a humble young man. Even if he goes to New York to continue his studies, all he cares about is studying here, not participating in political issues and rallies. However, his communication with African Americans, teachers who supported human rights, and the incorporation of the 14th Amendment into the US Constitution, which granted rights to African Americans, awakened his inner reformers. When India was struggling against British rule at the political level led by Mahatma Gandhi, Ambedkar engaged in a social struggle against upper caste Hindus. Ambedkar and Gandhi had ideological conflicts. However, Gandhi admired Ambedkar, and it was under his insistence that he became the first Minister of Law during Nehru's reign. This movie ends with a note of redemption - Ambedka provides an alternative religion for millions of Dalits, where they find dignity, sympathy, and equality. He openly gave up Hinduism and converted to Buddhism.
