Unfortunately, someone replaced one of her sleeping pills with an overdose of morphine, and she took her identity as a thief to the grave. Japp linked the murderer's m.o. with an outstanding case he investigated ten years ago, but the main suspect of this crime, a powerful politician, is now lying in a local hospital dying. Despite numerous obstacles, Poirot was able to link this murder case to an international diamond smuggling gang, but before the killer claimed to have more victims.
